When it's time to log into Interfolio to work on a case, faculty receive communications from administrators in their departments, usually in the form of notification emails which these admins have sent from Interfolio. Since faculty access Interfolio as both case candidates and committee members, the work required of them will be outlined in these communications, which will include links to log in. They may use these links, or they may log into Interfolio directly.

Summary

Step 1. Click the Email Link or Go to Interfolio’s Website

Step 2. Click "Sign in with Partner Institution"

Step 3. Sign in with Your UCLA Logon ID

Step 1. Click the Email Link or Go to Interfolio's Website

You can access Interfolio either by clicking the link in an email you receive from a UCLA administrator (which will likely be sent through Interfolio), or by navigating to the website at www.interfolio.com and clicking the “Sign in” button.

Step 2. Click 'Sign in with Partner Institution'

Click "Sign in with Partner Institution". This ensures that you log in with your UCLA account rather than a personal account you may have with Interfolio.

Scroll through the menu that appears on the next page, and select “University of California-Los Angeles,” as shown in the screenshot below (type the name of the university into the search box and results will appear beneath the search field), then click the “Sign In” button.

Note: Opus only uses a subset of Interfolio’s functionalities. Some interface elements on Interfolio’s site — such as the "Sign Up" button shown in the screenshot above — are not relevant for Opus users.

Step 3. Sign in With Your UCLA Logon ID

Clicking the “Sign In” button as shown above will direct your browser to the familiar UCLA Logon ID page. Enter your credentials as usual. If you don't have a UCLA Logon but do have Mednet credentials, click the "Sign in with your Mednet username…" link as shown in the screenshot below. If you don't have a UCLA Logon nor Mednet credentials, you'll need to create a UCLA Logon ID. See the article about email addresses, linked near the bottom of this page, for instructions on doing so.

It's possible that Interfolio will ask you to select a software module (Interfolio offers several modules, one of which is named "Dossier"). If you see a screen like the one below, you will click the "Opus | Interfolio" button.

Successfully logging in takes you to the Interfolio Dashboard. Depending on what you need to do, you will click either the "Your Packets" link (to upload or view materials for a case in which you are the candidate), or you will click the "Cases" link (to work with cases where you are a reviewer).
