The answer depends on your role. Candidates have two places where they can find documents, while administrators and review committee members have one.

Candidates

For candidates, case documents can be found in two places: the Packet/Dossier (Interfolio’s “packet” is analogous to UCLA’s “dossier”), and the Committee Files link. To access either of these, candidates first log into Interfolio using the “Partner Institution” link on Interfolio’s login page — for more information about logging into Interfolio, see the article linked near the bottom of this page.

After a candidate logs in, they can click their case to view it. The next screen they see is the Packet Overview. This is where a candidate can find everything that they have uploaded.

  !

Note: Once uploaded, files must be submitted in order to share them with admins and in order for the case to move forward. Uploading is not enough to satisfy the requirement.

If the candidate needs to see documents that have been shared with them by an administrator, they can find them in the Committee Files section. This can be accessed by clicking the “Committee Files” link near the upper-right of the interface. In order for a document to show up in Committee Files, a department administrator (DA) must explicitly share that document. If a candidate doesn’t see what they expect here, they should contact their DA and ask them to share the files.

Administrators and Review Committee Members

These users can find all documents for a case in a single location: the Case Materials tab. This is the first screen displayed after opening a case from the Cases page.

On the Case Materials tab, administrators and committee members can view files submitted by the candidate (uploading is not sufficient, the candidate must also submit) or uploaded by other admins or committee members (as long as the uploader has not manually changed the permissions on these files). They can also upload files, and share these files with the candidate, administrators or other review committee members as described in the Interfolio Help Center article linked below. They can also view forms filled out in connection with the case.
