Review cases cannot be opened into Interfolio if the candidate does not have a valid email address in the UCLA Logon system, and a UCLA Logon linked to their University ID. To log in to Interfolio, all Opus users (admins, candidates, reviewers, etc.) will need to maintain a linkage between the email address associated with their UCLA Logon and their profile in Interfolio.

Candidates for Appointment added to Opus via Recruit will need an email address in Opus but will not need access to Interfolio and so will not need a UCLA Logon. However, once these candidates are appointed, they will need a UCLA Logon (or Mednet Logon) to access Interfolio as a committee member or candidate in a future case.

Candidates for Review can create an ID in the UCLA Logon system by visiting Logon.UCLA.edu — they will need their 9-digit University ID number. If the candidate already has a UCLA Logon but it is not linked to their UID, Logon.UCLA.edu has instructions on making that link.

If the candidate has a UCLA Logon and it's linked to their UID, but they want to change the email address used in Opus, the local Campus Directory updater should update their email address in the directory. These updaters can be found here: http://directory.ucla.edu/updaters.php. Email address updates will take up to 48 hours to show up in Opus and Interfolio, at which point the information in Interfolio may also need to be manually synchronized (email opushelp@ucla.edu if the email address listed in Interfolio does not update). Once this occurs, the case can be continued with the "Go to Interfolio" button.
