Yes, by first creating the Interfolio case from one of the Opus cases, and then linking the remaining Opus cases to the newly created Interfolio case.
One example where this may be necessary might be the combination of a 4th Year Appraisal action, a Renewal action and a Merit action, all initiated for an appointee at the same time. Each action must be associated with its own case in Opus — so in the example above, there would be three cases started in Opus — but they would all need to link to the same case (packet/dossier) in Interfolio.
In order to accomplish this, Opus users should:
- Decide which case will be the "primary" one, from which the Interfolio case will be created and subsequently linked to the additional cases.
- Use the "Go to Interfolio" button from the primary case to create a new Interfolio case.
- Return to Opus and use the "Go to Interfolio" button, from each additional case, to link to the Interfolio case created in Step 2.
Opus relies on our users to know which cases should be grouped, to know which of the cases should be used to create the primary Interfolio case, and to place the materials from all the grouped cases onto the same case (packer/dossier) in Interfolio. See the article below the a walk-through on linking Opus cases to existing Interfolio cases.
