Yes, but each action requires its own case.


One example might be a combination of a 4th Year Appraisal action, a Renewal action and a Merit action all being initiated at the same time, with three separate cases.


A similar example is the 5 Year Review action that, during the course of its being carried out, needs to “turn into” a Merit action. Unlike using paper forms, Opus cases maintain a clear distinction between types of actions, and in the scenario where an action needs to “change,” the old action must be closed or deleted (often the original case will be closed with a “neutral” outcome; see the article on this topic linked below) and a new case with the correct action started.


A third example is the scenario where the outcome for an Advancement action is disapproved, but a salary increase is approved. In this scenario, the case for the Advancement is closed with its result noted, and a new case for an Off-Scale Salary Adjustment action is started.
