Yes, you can find this information in both Opus and Interfolio. If you no longer have access to a case in Interfolio, you can still find a case's location for those cases that were started in your department/school on the Cases page in Opus.

While it’s true that users lose access to a case in Interfolio when they click the “Send Forward” button in Interfolio and the case moves to a step on which the user is not a committee member or where they are a recused administrator, users can always find location information for cases that they can see in Opus, regardless of whether the case is visible in Interfolio. For more information about sending a case forward, see the article linked near the bottom of this page.

Case location info is available in the Case Location column of the Active Cases tab on the Cases page. Here Opus displays the case’s current review step. Additionally, clicking a case, which opens its Case Summary, allows the user to view Tracking Dates — a history of all the steps the case has gone through.

Incidentally, the information in the Case Location column on the Cases page is updated nightly, but viewing the Tracking Dates in the Opus Case Summary updates this information for the individual case immediately. Users seeking the most current information should check the Case Summary page.

Note, you may need to use the “change columns” button to see the Case Location column on the Cases page.
