When you click the “Notify Candidate” button in Interfolio, the system sends an email, which you can customize, to the candidate, telling them that a case has been started for them. Even if the process in your department does not require the candidate to use Interfolio, the system requires that you notify the candidate at the start of a case, if you plan to grant them access to the case at any point. As a general rule, Opus recommends that you use this feature at the start of any case on which you see this button.
