This error arises when Opus doesn't know the "official" email address for the appointee associated with a particular case. Opus relies on the candidate's email address to create a case in Interfolio, so without it the case can't be created.

If the candidate does not already have one, they should create a logon ID in the UCLA Logon system, linking it to their University ID. If they've previously created a UCLA Logon, but it is not linked to their UID, they should establish that link. Both options are available here: Logon.UCLA.edu

  !

Note: If an appointee is separated in EDB and they do not have an email address in Opus, creating a UCLA Logon will not resolve the "missing email" issue. Users should contact Opus Help for assistance.

If the candidate aready has a UCLA Logon and Opus returns this error, this implies that the email address in Interfolio does not match the one in Opus. Users should write Opus Help to ask for assistance with this issue.

Changes to UCLA Logon information will take up to 48 hours to show up in Opus and Interfolio, after which point the information in Interfolio may also need to be manually synchronized (email opushelp@ucla.edu). Once this occurs, the case can be continued with the "Go to Interfolio" button.
