Yes, but how you address the issue depends on why the appointment is missing.

Appointments That Have Ended

When an appointment ends, it is no longer visible in Opus. If the person was in Opus with an appointment that ended recently, it's possible that the Reappointment or Renewal action for that person was overlooked. In order to make the appointment active again:

  1. Create a Reappointment or Renewal action in Opus with the retroactive effective date and updated end date.
  2. As shown in the article How to Start a Case linked below, Opus allows you to select an existing appointment. In this scenario, you will be able to select an “archived” appointment. Click the “appointment details” link by the appointment to see the details. You’ll likely want to select the one with the most recent end date.
  3. Contact APO or Opus Help to let us know that the case needs to be approved.
  4. Once you receive the notification that the action was approved, check back the next day to confirm that the appointment is now visible, and that its data is correct.

Appointments That Were Never Entered in Opus

If the appointment has never been in Opus, it will need to be manually added by APO through a retroactive appointment. Contact Opus Help and we will create a retroactive appointment action, which will add the person at their previous rank and step. The appointmen will be finalized the next day, reflecting the current rank/step. You will receive a notification when the retroactive appointment case is approved and when the appointment is updated the following day.
