Coming Soon: Opus 2.15

On Sunday, March 8, Opus will be unavailable from 9am to 1pm as we upgrade to Opus 2.15. Interfolio will still be available throughout the Opus outage. Opus 2.15 includes:

  • The ability to save your filter, sort, and column selections on a table so that you don’t have to redo them every time you reload a page;
  • An Employee Status field on the Appointments table, to identify faculty who are on leave, retired, or on a short work break in UC PATH;
  • Bug fixes.

Instructions to Candidates in Interfolio

Over the next week, we will be updating the instructions that candidates see in Interfolio. If your area has customized the default instructions in your templates, this change will not affect you. For departments that haven’t customized the default text, their candidates will now see more helpful instructions that direct them to the academic personnel staff in the department if they have questions.

Reminders

Faculty Without UIDs?

If you have current faculty without a UID in Opus, their Opus record is not linked to UC PATH (and so their Payroll Salary field in Opus will be blank). Please submit the name and UID of anyone in this situation to the Opus Help Desk for us to resolve.

You might run into this problem in another way—if you go to start a case and see more than one entry for the person you’re selecting, it’s because there are two records in Opus. One record came from Recruit (and doesn’t have a UID) and the other came from our UC PATH connection. Please submit the name and UID of anyone in this situation to the Opus Help Desk for us to resolve.

Upload the Data Summary as a Document

The Data Summary forms on the APO website are Word documents that you can fill in and upload as a Word file. Please avoid uploading scans of printed out forms. It is hard to read and extra work for you.

Dean’s Offices: Notify APO of Expedited Cases

Dean’s Office staff should notify AVC Erika Chauwhen they have a case (a recruitment or retention, usually) that needs expedited handling. Please send her an email either in advance or at the same time a case is submitted to APO. Also please set any appropriate flags (such as Retention) on the Case Summary in Opus.
