When an Opus case that is linked to an Interfolio Case arrives at AAPO, personnel in that office check to see whether the case's Interfolio steps are properly configured in terms of personnel access. If it is not, then AAPO personnel must go through the process of correcting the configuration. Since this is a time-consuming process, cases should always be configured before arriving at AAPO.

In general, this is the process AAPO uses to check, verify and correct case access:

  1. Generate an administrator report that shows which cases have incorrect access.
  2. Check the report against incoming cases.
  3. For each incoming casethat shows up on the report:
    1. Open the case in Interfolio
    2. Go to Case Options > Edit Case > Case Review Steps
    3. For each stepwith incorrect user access:
      1. Open the Edit Step dialog by clicking the pencil icon in the step's header.
      2. Click the Manage Administrators tab.
      3. Click the "buster" icon (a circle with a slash through it) next to the names of any personnel who should have been recused but weren't.
    4. Email Opus Help to open a help ticket, letting us know which department/school submitted the case incorrectly, and include the name of the template used for the case in this email. Template information can be found either on the Cases page in Interfolio, or on the second tab of the administrative report mentioned above (e.g., "Law / Limited Review template").
    5. Opus Help will open a support ticket for the administrator, letting them know that the case was incorrect, and requesting that they fix the template, which will correct future (but not current) cases.
