Recusing members of committees on Interfolio cases revokes the access they've been granted as a result of their committee membership. This is helpful in cases where someone who is on a standing committee should not have access to a particular case, but the rest of the members should.

Unlike administrative recusal, when you recuse a committee member on a particular case step in Interfolio, they are recused from that committee for all steps where it appears. Note, however, that if they have access to the case through another avenue — either as an administrator or as a member of another committee assigned to the case — you should also consider recusing them in that context (i.e., from the other committee, or as an admin), because they will potentially retain case access. See the article linked near the bottom of this page for instructions on recusing administrators.
