If an appointee undergoing a 5 Year Review is also undergoing review for a Merit, users should start BOTH cases in Opus.


If the Merit is approved, the outcome for the 5 Year Review will be marked as an advancement. 


If the Merit is disapproved, the outcome for the 5 Year Review will be marked as “no advancement: performance satisfactory” or “no advancement: performance unsatisfactory.”


If the Merit is disapproved, but a salary increase without a step increase is approved, APO will start and approve an Off-Scale Salary Request action.
