Appointment Set Is Opus’ term for grouping primary and joint or split appointment(s) for a given appointee.


An appointment set links a primary appointment with one or more additional appointments, either joint(s) — with or without a waiver — or a split. Primarily, it allows users to apply actions to multiple appointments simultaneously by creating the same personnel action for each appointment in the Set.


On the Profile page, click the Appointments Set tab.  Then click the Create a New Set button in the middle of the Appointment Sets page.



In the "Create a New Appointment Set" window that opens, start by selecting the Primary appointment in the drop-down menu when you click Add Appointment.



For the Affiliation Status, select Primary.



Then click the Add Appointment button again to select the Additional appointment.  For Affiliation status of an Additional appointment, select the appropriate option (Joint for a without-salary appointment, Split if each department has a percentage of the FTE).
