Opus users can recuse both administrators and/or committee members who should not have access to a specific case and/or case step in Interfolio. This should be done, for example, when the candidate is also a member of the review committee, or when the administrator is a near relative of the candidate.

Recusing an administrator or standing committee member only removes that person’s access for that specific case or step, it does not permanently remove that person from the committee or from their role as an administrator with a unit (department, school, etc.).
