This page allows administrators from the Academic Personnel Office and the Opus Development Team to associate University ID (UID) numbers with Opus records, or to change those UIDs currently associated.

The topic of this article is a permissions-restricted page in Opus. If a user's permissions do not allow them to access this page, it will not be visible when they log into Opus.

Filtering the Data Table: Search Field and UID Status Column Filter

The data table on this page features a table filter that accepts text input — it's labelled as "Search" in the above screenshot. Typing here causes the table to display only records which contain the input text in any of their columns. This table also features a dropdown menu column filter in the UID Status column, which allows users to view only records with a specific UID Status. For more information about these filters (and more), see the article on table filtering linked near the bottom of this page.

Edit Column: Enter UID Button

For each record on this page with a UID Status of "UID Requested," an Enter UID button appears under the Edit column in its row. This allows an administrative user to associate a University ID with the Opus record, as long as a UID has been requested for this record via the Request a UID page (see link near the end of this article). Clicking the Enter UID button displays a modal window in which the user may enter the UID to be associated with the record in that row (after locating the UID in a system outside of Opus).

Action Column: Pencil Button Menu

Each row in the data table on this page features a button with an edit (pencil) icon in the Action column at the far right. As shown in the screenshot at the top of this article, clicking this button displays a dropdown menu containing either a "Cancel Request" menu item, or "Edit UID" and "Purge UID" menu items.

Cancel Request

Clicking "Cancel Request" in a particular record's pencil icon menu cancels the request for a UID for that record. Doing so changes the record's UID Status to "UID Request Cancelled" and removes the Enter UID button from its Edit column.

Edit UID

Clicking Edit UID in a record's pencil icon menu displays a modal window in which the user may change the UID associated with the record:

Purge UID

Clicking Purge UID in a particular record's pencil icon menu deletes the UID associated with that record.
