This article is about the Eligibility page on the Opus Website. For information about calculating eligibility, see the article on that process linked at the bottom of this page.

The topic of this article is a permissions-restricted page in Opus. If a user's permissions do not allow them to access this page, it will not be visible when they log into Opus.

This page allows Opus users to view a projection, based on current data, of actions available to appointees over the next five years. The main interface on this page is a data table containing records for academic appointees in the user's unit. This data table can be sorted, searched and filtered. For more information about eligibility or using data tables, see the articles linked near the bottom of this page.

Show Only

In addition to the standard table interface, the data table on this page includes two Show Only options: Mandatory Actions and Appointees based in your department (or joints without a waiver). Clicking the checkbox for either will hide all records in the table except those meeting the selected criteria — be aware that using these options, particularly in conjunction with the filters in the table column headers, may result in a seemingly empty data table. The "Reset Table" button provides a quick way to clear active filters.

Mandatory Actions

Checking this box will display only appointees eligible for the following actions:

  • 4 Year Review - SOM

  • 4th Year Appraisal

  • 5 Year Review

  • 8 Year Limit

  • Mandatory Review

  • Reappointment

  • Renewal

  • Unit 18 4th Year Increase

  • Unit 18 Initial Continuing Appointment

  • Unit 18 Needs Assessment

Appointees based in your department

Checking this box will display only appointees eligible for review by your department (i.e., it will filter out joint appointees with review waivers).
