An appointment is a record describing a job at the university. As UCLA’s system of record for academic appointees, Opus includes data related to appointments held by academic appointees.

In Opus appointments are associated with profiles (and each appointee has one profile in Opus). Appointment data includes details such as school, department, title code, series, rank, step, etc.

Appointment data is also closely associated with Opus’ Case tool, as case options are initially configured by existing appointment data, and cases are run with the goal of updating it.
