Case routing is performed by administrators in the department that initiated the case.
Administrators send a case to the next Interfolio step by clicking the "Send Forward" button. The department administrator moves the case forward at each departmental review step, the dean’s office moves the case at the dean’s office steps, and AAPO and the CAP administrators move the case forward at their steps.
When processing cases that involve multiple departments, the initiating department/school should send the case forward. This implies that for initial joint or split appointment actions, the proposing department/dean’s office moves the case forward.
