For Prospective candidates for hire, their name comes into Opus when you enter the Recruit tracking number in the Start a Case process in Opus.  If their name isn't displaying correctly in Opus, you need to edit it on the Summary tab of the Profile page.  (If the name is wrong in Recruit, you should also correct it there, but Opus won't update the original, incorrect name even if it now displays correctly in Recruit).


To edit a new candidate's name, go to their Profile page and click the Summary tab.  In the example below, we are on the Profile Summary tab of candidate "Aaron S. Bruin".  Opus has incorrectly parsed their name (putting "S." as the last name and "Aaron" as the first name).




When we click the Edit pencil on the right side of the page, this Edit window opens: 



We'll put "S" in as the Middle Name and update the Last Name field to Bruin.


Changing the name on the Profile Summary tab will automatically update it on the Active Cases table.  As noted above, it will not change the name on the Interfolio packet if you've already created a packet for their appointment.  You will need to create that packet again so that the corrected name flows from Opus to the new packet.

  

Also please note: once the candidate is active in UC Path, you will no longer be able to edit their name in Opus.  Opus will display their name as set in UC Path (if they have a Preferred or Lived name, that will be displayed).
