Data security

Data access is managed through login-based permissions. When an academic personnel staff member logs in, they can view data for academic appointees within their department or school — they cannot edit or view data for any other academic appointees. More information about data security can be found on the Privacy page.

Accessing Opus

Currently the Opus website itself can only be accessed by UCLA staff, deans and department chairs. For academic review cases, Opus also allows review candidates and review committee members to participate through its integration with Interfolio — but users in these roles access Interfolio rather than Opus itself. If users feel that they should have access to Opus or Interfolio, they should contact their school's academic personnel office. The Opus Website can be found at opus.ucla.edu. If a user has not logged in, clicking the Sign In button on that page will display the UCLA Logon screen, which will allow them to enter their UCLA Logon ID, following the established procedure for logging into university websites.
